Fresh from his dramatic keirin win at the World Track Cycling Championships in Melbourne, Sir Chris Hoy is in Manchester today encouraging parents, teachers and children to become involved in National School Sport Week 2012.
Sir Chris is encouraging participation in the week that runs from Monday 25th - Friday 29th June. To date more than 19,000 schools and almost 9 million pupils across the UK have taken part in the week since it started in 2008.
All parents, no matter how active, are being encouraged to take part in the week and can register their interest at www.schoolsportweek.org
