The British Gas GBR Synchronised Swimming Team will compete against some of the best teams in the world at the test event from the 18 - 22 April 2012.
As well as offering the team a final chance to size up the main opposition for the summer, it’s also the last opportunity for each GB swimmer to stake her claim for a place at the London Games.
As the host nation the team has already automatically secured a 2012 spot, but only nine of the thirteen girls will be chosen to represent Britain in August where they are looking for a top six place in the team event and in the duet.
Competition at the test event will be fierce, especially as countries such as Russia, Spain, Ukraine and USA have still to qualify for the Games. Three places are up for grabs in the team event and 19 in the duet.
We have exclusive interview footage of senior GB squad member Katie Dawkins talking about the teams’ preparations for the Synchronised Swimming Qualification Tournament, and her hopes for the summer ahead.
