BACARDÍ, in conjunction with Universal Music, hosted an incredible party to celebrate the most important night in the British music industry calendar, The Brits. Since its beginnings in 1862 BACARDÍ has been famous for bringing people together through legendary parties and the Universal and BACARDÍ party was no different. The event was the most important party of the evening, with an amazing guest list, incredible music and legendary cocktails.
Attendees: A truly star-studded evening, guests included Jessie Jay, Rihanna, Florence Welch, Tinie Tempah, Will.I.Am, Nicole Sherzinger, Tinchy Stryder, Dizzee Rascal, Maverick Sabre, Rizzle Kicks, James Corden, Louie Walsh, Dermot O’Leary, Caroline Flack, Nick Grimshaw, Abbie Clancy, Richard Bacon, Chloe Green, Lisa Snowdon, Laura Whitmore, Cover Drive, Pixie Lott and boyfriend Oliver Cheshire.
A legendary party was enjoyed by all guests with Jessie J and Pixie Lott both changing outfits especially for the event. Florence Welch and Harley Alexander-Sule from Rizzle Kicks were seen dancing together into the small hours enjoying the music played by resident DJ at many BACARDÍ parties, Will.I.Am. Celebrities were treated to the original BACARDÍ Daiquirí, the Authentic BACARDÍ Mojito, and a bespoke cocktail created especially for the evening – the BACARDÍ 1862.
Menu: Attendees were served drinks from three specially built bars including a bespoke BACARDÍ bar. Guests were treated to some of the most famous and legendary BACARDÍ cocktails including the original BACARDÍ Daiquirí, the Authentic BACARDÍ Mojito, and a bespoke cocktail created especially for the evening – the BACARDÍ 1862. Named after the year of BACARDÍ's creation the drink is a blend of BACARDÍ rums and tropical juices mixed with passion fruit and vanilla. Guests were also served canapés including roast beef and horseradish, avocado and chilli and spicy meatballs and hot dishes from stations serving mac & cheese and braised lamb shepherd’s pie.
Venue: Held at the iconic Tate Modern, the front of the building made a wonderful spectacle as paparazzi and fans marvelled at the VIP artists and guests arriving in style from the awards, chauffeured in official Audi cars. Inside, the mezzanine of the Turbine Hall was decorated in the signature Soho House style with low level lighting, vintage furniture and specially created secluded areas for guests to enjoy the party.
Music: As always, Universal Music’s event did not fail to impress on the entertainment front with superstar DJs Will.i.am and Florence Welch on the decks.
The Goody Bags: VIP goody bags were distributed to Universal Music’s artists. These magnificent bags, always the envy of every Brits VIP, Lulu Guinness for women and Barbour for men included Monica Vinader jewellery gold earrings, bracelets and necklaces, Cowshed candles and body lotion, Wowee iPhone speakers, Elemis and Clinique beauty products, Penhaligons perfume, Babyliss shavers and curling tongs and Prestat chocolate.
