Britain's top swimmers take to the pool at the Manchester Aquatics Centre in a bid to secure a place in the British Gas GB Team for the World Championships in Shanghai.

SATURDAY 5TH MARCH – SATURDAY 12TH MARCH 2011: Britain’s best swimmers take to the water in Manchester this week at the British Gas Swimming Championships.

Britain's swimming stars are battling for both national titles and the opportunity to represent their country at the World Championships in Shanghai in July, the last major long course event before the 2012 Olympic Games.

The British Gas Swimming Championships is biggest event of the year in the British swimming calendar, and is also the first major opportunity for young swimmers to gain recognition on the national stage.
