Athlete Iwan Thomas Teams up with Greyhound Coaches UK to Help Find Homes for Former Racing Dogs

Former European and Commonwealth champion, dog lover Iwan Thomas is launching a new campaign to help increase the number of Greyhound dogs re-homed in 2011. They Retired Greyhound Trust is working alongside the Greyhound UK Buses to ensure that unwanted Greyhounds find new homes and loving owners.
 
New research into our relationship with our pets reveals we consider our pets as an integral part of family, In fact, people refer to themselves as mummy and daddy when talking to their pet, allow their pet to sleep on their bed and would even consider leaving their pet in their will.

Iwan will be on hand to encourage people to consider a greyhound as a pet and will have a couple of dogs on hand to take into the studio to show  what wonderful pets they can make. He'll also be revealing the sterling work of the Retired Greyhound Trust in looking after and re-homing former racing dogs.
