Today Oscar-nominated actress, Samantha Morton and Goldie who were in care for much of their childhood are spearheading a campaign alongside Children's Secretary Ed Balls to help recruit and retain social workers.

They have enlisted support of fellow actors Sadie Frost, Joanna Page, Emilia Fox, Nicholas Hoult and Michelle Ryan who star in short films to highlight some of the real life issues social workers deal with and encourage more people to consider it as a career. Today, the four short films will be aired as a 40 second television advert.
